We are the Zuniga’s!
Our Story
We met at Baptist Bible College, in Springfield Missouri. Looking back, we know without a doubt that God orchestrated our story. After 14 years in heavy addiction and the criminal lifestyle, Josh got saved through Freeway Ministries and began Bible College in 2016. This same year, Alex graduated high school in Manila, Philippines, where her parents (Greg and LuAnn Lyons) are missionaries. We had our very first class together and were placed in the same group project to begin the year! The rest is history.
We were married in 2019 and started Freeway South in the same year. We both graduated Baptist Bible College in 2020, Josh with his bachelors degree in Intercultural Studies and Alex with her bachelors degree in Biblical Counseling.
We have been doing full time Ministry since then and have seen God do some amazing things during this short time! We had our son, Amar’e Jordan Zuniga, in October of 2021. We have since been called to Orlando Florida to launch a new Freeway Ministries!
Through every step, we have seen God’s hand and we can’t wait to see what He will do next!

Alex, The Singer
Alex has been singing since she was a young girl. She is the worship leader of our Freeway Plant and has been involved in the worship team during our time at High Street Church and River Stone Fellowship.

Josh, the Outdoorsman
Josh loves hunting, fishing and honestly anything outdoors. He’s also a big fan of the NBA and Hawaiian Punch.

Amar'e, the the NBA legend
Our son Amar’e Jordan shares his first and middle name with two NBA superstars. He shares a first name with Amare Stoudemire, a six-time All-Star with the Phoenix Suns and the New York Knicks. He shares a middle name with Michael Jordan, the Chicago Bulls legend and greatest basketball player of all-time.
